How do I get to the main RBS website?

This website isn’t optimised for use on mobile phones so it’s best viewed on a computer or tablet with a web browser.
Mobile banking
What do I need to sign up for mobile banking?
You’ll need:
- Your mobile phone
- Your mobile phone number
- The debit card for the account you want to register
If you’re an iPhone user you’ll also need your online banking customer number.
Do I get charged for using the service?
RBS won’t charge you for using the app or receiving text messages, however standard network charges may apply. Please refer to your network provider for their charges.
What is a PAN/CVC?
PAN is the 16 digits on the front of your card and CVC is last three digits on the signature strip on the back of your card.
What is my customer number?
This is the number you use to log into online banking. The format is your date of birth and then a four digit code e.g. ddmmyyXXXX.

Who can bank online?
To sign up you need to be aged 16 or over and have an RBS current account, credit card, savings account or loan.
What is a Card-Reader?
A Card-Reader is a security device which looks a lot like a small, hand-held calculator. It works by reading the security chip on your card but doesn't actually hold any information about you or your passwords.
You’ll use your card and Card-Reader to authorise certain transactions when using online banking.
Will I receive paper statements if I choose alerts by email?
No, if you’ve chosen to receive alerts by email for your personal bank accounts you will have already selected that you don’t want to receive bank statements by post.
What is my Customer Number?
Your Customer Number starts with your date of birth (ddmmyy) followed by up to four digits, given to you when you enrolled for online banking or Telephone Banking.
Where can I find my IBAN and BIC number?
The IBAN and BIC number can be found either on your paper statement or on your online statement.
